My wife and I recently spent three weeks traveling around Japan with the Odyssey. We decided to rent a cabin from Katrina and we're glad we did!
The Japan experience was amazing, the people were amazing and the cruise was a lot of fun - then at the end of each day we could return to a nice cosy cabin and finally relax. The cabin was bright and very comfy with little finishing touches, like lots of extra coat hangers - yay! - and Katrina made the whole process easy. The only problem we have now is - trying to choose another destination and date so we can go back again for another adventure !
We enjoyed renting Villa 6026 from Odyssey Villa Rentals and had an amazing time. The view from the window didn't disappoint. The Villa looked just like the pictures and was what we expected. Katrina was very easy to work with and answered our questions quickly. Communication was superb. We will definitely be back.
I was so fortunate to find a rental option versus a long term lease on the residential cruise ship Villa Vie Odyssey.
As for the experience of the adventure. Being a seasoned traveler and cruiser, if one has the ability to slow travel, then, this unique residential cruise experience has tremendous appeal. That would include an "all-inclusive" price. Usually, all inclusive is not what it appears with hidden charges. From a cruiser perspective, what stood out, in addition to meals etc was all port charges, taxes and gratuities (optional) are included. Also included is Starlink WI-FI, twice a week cabin cleaning service, towel/sheet service and personal laundry. Also, complimentary wine and beer at lunch and dinner. Being budget conscious this was significant because rather than being nickeled and dimed everyday it was one price up front. Those days of what all-inclusive really was, I thought, were gone forever. The only supplemental charge I experienced were in two areas. There is a $150 admin charge for doing a rental. This charge is imposed by the company Villa Vie Residences and there were some immigration fees where they applied. Otherwise, as far as ship costs, one price all included.
Once I found Odyssey Villa Rentals and accepted the unbelievable value proposition, all went smoothly, exceeding my expectations with expedient, personal interactions with easy to navigate availability, and really, a personal responsive concierge/representative, providing all rental options and dates to fit my schedule. In fact, I was able to rent two separate segments over several months. This allowed me to get off the ship in Asia for three weeks and return to the ship. Frankly, in was harder to book my airline tickets, hotel and excursions than it was securing my booking with Odyssey Villa Rentals.
